Spanish Cove Apartments

Spanish Cove is a lovely development of holiday apartments located right opposite Kilkee’s golden sandy blue flag beach and adjacent to the Ocean Cove Hotel.

 

Accommodation Details

Built in 2000, there are sixty apartments in all at Spanish Cove many
offering seaviews or partial seaviews over beautiful Kilkee Beach.  There are
three apartment options as follows:

  • 2 bedroom apartments – these can accommodate 3 people in 1 double bedroom
    & 1 single bedroom and an ADDITONAL CAMPBED suitable for a child
    only. These apartments have a main bathroom with shower and bath and an
    ensuite bathroom with electric shower.
  • 3 bedroom apartments- these can accommodate up to five people in one double,
    one twin and one single bedroom.  There is a toilet and handbasin downstairs and
    a main bathroom with shower and bath upstairs and the double bedroom has an
    ensuite bathroom with electric shower.
  • Seaview Apartments – we offer two apartments with two bedrooms with full
    seaviews.  A supplement of €75 euro per booking applies to these apartments and
    they must be requested at time of booking

Private off-street parking is available for guests of Spanish Cove Apartments.

Electricity is an extra charge at €9 per day Jan-May
& Sept-Dec and €6 per day June, July & August. Payable on
site

  • A security deposit of €200.00 must be given to the supervisor on
    arrival and can be paid using cash or credit card, this will be returned to you
    within 7 days of departure provided the supervisor is satisfied that the terms
    and conditions of the rental have been complied with.  Costs of repairs to
    property as a result of damage or negligence will be deducted from the security
    deposit, with an additional charge where this is insufficient.
  • A late check-in fee of €25.00 euro will apply for all arrivals
    after 6pm

Local Activities

Beach
Kilkee boasts a mile-long golden sandy blue flag beach which sweeps in a semi-circular curve in front of the town.  Kilkee beach is reputed to be the safest bathing place in Ireland.

Kilkee Waterworld
Kilkee Waterworld is a popular all-weather indoor leisure centre offering fun for all ages with a range of
indoor water attractions including a bubble pool, shower geysers, the ‘lazy river ride’ and a 61m crystal tower slide.  Tel: 065-9056855. Closes seasonally.

Diving
Kilkee is a well known diving spot with a great reputation for the variety of dives and the diversity of marine life. vist Dive in Ireland for more information.

Golf
Kilkee’s 18-Hole golf course is situated on the road towards George’s Head and stretches along the spectacular cliffs. There are many other Golf Courses within an easy drive of Kilkee including Lahinch, Kilrush, Doonbeg, Woodstock, Ennis and Ballybunion.

Fishing
Kilkee is a fisherman’s paradise with shore and rock fishing along with crewed boats available for hire for deep-sea fishing.

Walking
The walks at both sides of the bay offer incredible views of the Aran Islands to the north, Kerry to the south and Loop Head to the West.

Pitch & Putt
There is a well laid out course at the western end of the town.

Thalassotherapy Centre
A variety of sea-based therapies are provided here by fully qualified personnel.

Visitor Attractions

Dolphin Watching
The mouth of the River Shannon is home to Ireland’s only resident community of bottlenose dolphins numbering approximately 100 members.  Boat trips operate from the towns of Kilrush and Carrigaholt (May-Aug).

The Cliffs of Moher
Within easy driving distance of Kilkee are the world renowned Cliffs of Moher rising to over 215 m (700ft) and stretching for over 8km.
